Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Clinical Lab Trainer in the Molecular division to prepare and facilitate training for new hires and existing staff in the clinical laboratory.

The role focuses on ensuring competencies are met, maintaining documentation, and delivering both in-person and virtual training. Schedule includes evenings, with flexibility for overtime and on-site work at the Phoenix location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• 1+ years of instructor-led training experience in a lab or similar setting.
• 2+ years of laboratory experience with regulatory guidelines (HIPAA, GLP, GDP).
• Strong computer skills including virtual meeting tools and data/records management.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document new hire training in the department in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Provide ongoing in-person and virtual training to lab employees, including retraining and process changes.
• Create training materials and maintain records of training and competency evaluations.
