Siemens Healthineers in Daytona Beach, FL, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for permanent placement at partner hospitals. A $30,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

You will perform SPECT and PET imaging, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure patient safety and quality in a fast-paced clinical setting. Requirements include a graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program, ARRT or NMTCB CT certification, CPR, and 1 year of Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, educate patients, obtain informed consent and monitor during procedures.
• Document radiopharmaceuticals and manage inventory and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including SPECT and PET with high-quality results.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment; perform quality assurance tests.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to deliver patient care; provide technical consultation.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory standards and pursue continuing education.

Education Requirement

• Certification Program - Graduate of accredited nuclear medicine technology school

Experience

• 1 year of experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and PET/CT
• Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine clinical rotation during a formal education program

Licensure/Certifications

• ARRT or NMTCB CT Radiology Technologist Certification
• CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Accurately prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT and PET, ensuring high-quality results. Analyze imaging data and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, conducting regular quality assurance tests. Identify and address equipment malfunctions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Provide technical support and consultation regarding nuclear medicine procedures and findings.
• Adhere to all regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry requirements. Engage in continuing education to maintain certification and stay current with technological advancements.
