Job summary

Siemens Healthineers seeks a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist for permanent positions at partner hospitals in Raleigh or Durham, NC. The role offers competitive benefits, ongoing education, and exposure to state-of-the-art imaging technology.

You will perform SPECT and PET imaging, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with radiologists and care teams. ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry and CPR are required, with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Certification program graduate from an accredited nuclear medicine technology school.
• ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry required.
• CPR certification required.
• 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience or completion of nuclear medicine clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (SPECT/PET) ensuring high-quality results.
• Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals per safety standards.

Education Requirement

• Certification Program - Graduate of accredited nuclear medicine technology school

Experience

• 1 year of experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or;
• Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine clinical rotation during a formal education program

Licensure/Certifications

• ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry
• CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered
• SCSQRSA License

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Prepare and educate patients, ensuring informed consent and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patient conditions during procedures and provide necessary care and support.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT and PET, ensuring high-quality results. Analyze imaging data and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, conducting regular quality assurance tests. Identify and address equipment malfunctions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Provide technical support and consultation regarding nuclear medicine procedures and findings.
• Adhere to all regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry requirements. Engage in continuing education to maintain certification and stay current with technological advancements.
