Summary

MOLECULAR PATHOLOGIST

The Department of Pathology at Moffitt Cancer Center seeks an MD or MD/PhD with a record of clinical and academic excellence, experienced in a high-volume, multidisciplinary molecular pathology laboratory setting, preferably in a university or clinical environment.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a subspecialty molecular fellowship.
  • MD or MD/PhD with molecular pathology clinical board certification.
  • Eligibility for licensure in Florida.

Our molecular diagnostic lab offers an extensive test menu, including next-generation sequencing, RNA expression analysis, PCR assays, methylation testing, pharmacogenetics, FISH, and cytogenetics, with ongoing development in cell-free tumor nucleic acid testing and syndromic cancer testing.

Certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology or experience leading a molecular pathology lab is highly desirable.

Our goal is to maximize biomarker testing to deliver rapid, accurate, and comprehensive results for optimal patient care. The successful candidate will collaborate with clinical trials and research teams and may participate in expanding our Molecular Pathology program and conducting research.
