Job summary

Maine Molecular Quality Controls, Inc. (MMQCI) is seeking an R&D Associate Scientist to perform a variety of general laboratory procedures under supervision, providing daily lab support to maintain the R&D area and assist in new product development and validation of quality control products for clinical molecular diagnostics.

You will maintain lab inventory, order supplies, prepare buffers and reagents, and conduct molecular techniques such as plasmid purifications, RNA transcription, nucleic

Qualifications

• AS, BA, or BS in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, or related field.
• Familiarity with general lab techniques and basic data analysis tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a small company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare buffers, reagents, and culture materials per SOPs.
• Maintain inventory and lab supplies.
• Perform molecular techniques (plasmid purification, RNA transcription, PCR).
• Support validation of quality control products under cGMP/ISO.
• Organize data and assist in result interpretation.
• Work in BSL2 environment if trained.
