Job summary

MMQCI, located in Maine, is seeking a Quality Control Technical Lead to oversee release testing of molecular diagnostic products and to troubleshoot instrumentation and data trends. The role requires strong molecular biology skills, lab proficiency, and the ability to mentor staff in a cGMP environment.

The successful candidate will coordinate testing schedules, ensure material availability, and collaborate with R&D to implement new test methods, while maintaining contamination-free practices

Qualifications

• MS in Biology/Life Sciences with molecular focus and 3+ years in molecular labs.
• Experience with multiple molecular testing platforms and careful pipetting.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC release testing and ensure timely results.
• Mentor staff and train on molecular QC methods.
• Author and improve QC SOPs.
• Coordinate transfer of products from R&D to QC.
• Ensure contamination control and PPE compliance.
• Prepare data summaries and present findings.
• Support CAPA investigations and testing for customer inquiries.
