Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s Biological and Chemical Technologies Group seeks a candidate to join a multidisciplinary team applying chemistry and biology to national security challenges. You will design, build, test, and iterate engineered proteins and/or small molecules, while connecting computational hypotheses with experimental validation.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with at least five years of relevant experience in biochemical, biological, chemical engineering, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of computational methods and chemistry/biology with demonstrated use of tools in structure prediction, diffusion modeling, docking, molecular dynamics, and bioinformatics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and iterate engineered proteins and/or small molecules.
• Close the loop between in silico hypotheses and experimental validation.
• Collaborate with biosynthesis, biomanufacturing, and computation teams on molecular design projects.
