Qualifications

• Junior Specialist requires a baccalaureate degree or equivalent research experience.
• Assistant Specialist requires a master's degree or five years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.
• Associate Specialist requires a master's degree or five to ten years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.
• Full Specialist requires a terminal degree or ten or more years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.
• Commitment to the UCR mission is a preferred qualification.

Responsibilities

• Specialists contribute to research projects in their area of expertise.
• May design and execute research, manage laboratory operations, collect and analyze data.
• Develop and maintain research tools and resources.
• Engage in University and public service relevant to specialization when appropriate.
