Job summary

The Department of Medicine, division of Infectious Diseases, at the University of Miami invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant to be on-site at the UHealth campus. The role supports research investigators by performing laboratory tests, data collection, literature review, and a clerical role to ensure smooth operations of office facilities.

The Research Assistant will follow established SOPs and work under the PI or designee.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
• Excellent English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laboratory equipment and materials.
• Maintain logs, records, and laboratory notebooks.
• Review and edit materials for publication and prepare publication schedules.
• Communicate with PI or supervisor regarding experimental data and related issues.
