ATCC, a global nonprofit providing trusted biological materials, seeks a Biologist for its Manassas, VA MSAT-Molecular lab. The role performs molecular testing, analyzes data, and ensures documentation complies with quality systems.

It supports troubleshooting, manufacturing investigations, and technology transfer in a regulated environment. The candidate should have a molecular biology background and experience in lab or biomanufacturing settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience or equivalent (Master's degree or HS diploma with 6+ years).
• Hands-on molecular biology techniques: nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, and related analytical methods.
• Experience analyzing data and documenting results in regulated lab environments.
• Knowledge of quality systems, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across functions.
• Preferred: experience supporting manufacturing investigations and product support activities.

Responsabilités

• Perform nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, and related analyses per protocols.
• Support investigations, troubleshooting, and manufacturing investigations.
• Assist method verification, development, and technology transfer activities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Analyze test results and document findings in compliance with quality systems.
• Support routine laboratory operations and safety compliance.
