Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Molecular Account Executive to drive growth for the Molecular Diagnostics Division across healthcare facilities, including hospitals and labs. You will engage multiple stakeholders, develop opportunities, and deploy best practices to exceed targets while prioritizing high-value engagements.

You will manage long sales cycles, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and travel as needed (50–75%) within Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and the Dakotas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales, account management, or related business experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a polished, professional presence and proven customer-facing experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

The Opportunity

The Molecular Account Executive is part of the Molecular Diagnostic Division, which sells the full stack selling of Molecular products to healthcare facilities, including hospitals, IDNs, reference labs, and women's health offices.

Territory

This is a US remote field-based role. Candidates must reside in territory. The ideal candidate would be based out of Minneapolis, MN. The territory covers Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, U.P. of Michigan, and South & North Dakota. Ability to travel 50% to 75% within the assigned territory and periodically throughout the United States to support business needs. Valid driver's license required.

  • 2+ years of experience in capital sales or similar
  • Proven success in strategic sales, including exceeding plans and turning around underperforming territories.
  • Experience in capital sales and/or multi-stakeholder environments, developing and selling customized solutions to senior-level/C-suite executives.
  • Makes logical timely decisions based on analysis and experience
