Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Molding Engineer II to lead molding engineering and validation in Houston, TX. You will serve as the SME for injection molding, drive data-based process optimization, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to improve manufacturability and quality.

The role emphasizes GMP-like practices, quality systems, and partnership with Tooling, Product Development, and Quality. Onsite work with up to travel and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Fluent English reading, writing and communication.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• 1 year of demonstrated leadership.
• Molding process development and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead molding engineering and validation across new product introductions.
• Act as SME for injection molding processes and drive optimization.
• Own quality system deliverables across Kneat, Teamcenter, CAPAs and changes.
• Develop IQ/OQ/PQ validation strategies and risk mitigation.
• Lead defect investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Drive cycle time reduction, yield improvement and manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate with Tooling, Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing.
