Job summary

Amcor in North Carolina is seeking a Technical Cell Production Operator (TCPO) to ensure components are produced to meet customer expectations. You will perform machine start-ups, adjustments, inspections and data entry while keeping processes in control.

Working under the Molding Technical Supervisor, you will troubleshoot equipment, handle mold tools, promote safety, and support continuous improvement initiatives as part of a high‑performing Amcor team.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, color changes, and changeovers to keep processes in control.
• Conduct daily machine inspections and restart molding machines after first-shot approval.
• Clean mold cavities and hang mold tools to prepare for production.
• Troubleshoot machines and peripheral equipment as needed.
• Enter production and quality data on paperwork and systems.
• Assist Molding CPO and PETs as needed.
• Perform safety inspections and operate equipment following safety policies.
• Support plant goals in safety, quality, GMP, and ISO compliance.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Molding Technical Supervisor, the Technical Cell Production Operator (TCPO) ensures that components are produced that meet or exceed customer expectations by performing the following duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, color changes, changeovers and necessary adjustments to insure processes are in control at all times.
• Perform daily machine inspections
• Re-start Molding machines after first-shot approval.
• Clean mold cavities
• Hang mold tools
• Troubleshoot the machines and peripheral equipment as needed
• Enter data onto production and quality paperwork
• Assist Molding CPO and PETs as needed
• Perform all activities safely, including the use of LOTO as required by company policy.
• Conduct safety inspections of equipment and tooling prior to use.
• Within the confines of the job, ensure the safe operation of all equipment prior to turning it back over to running production.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
• Promote plant goals such as Safety/Housekeeping, Quality, GMP, AIB, and ISO
