Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years in quality control, preferably in plastics molding.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of molded parts according to QC plans, blueprints and specs.
• Use calipers, micrometers, optical comparators and gauges to verify dimensions.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials, initiating containment and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to investigate root causes and implement improvements.
• Monitor molding process parameters to ensure consistent quality.
• Conduct first-piece approvals and provide feedback to operators.
• Maintain inspection logs and documentation per procedures.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to procedure improvements.
• Adhere to safety regs and company policies.
