Job summary

Intellectt Inc. is seeking an Injection Molding Technician in Milwaukee to set up molds and equipment, adjust process parameters, and start up/shut down machines per SOPs. You will troubleshoot defects, maintain equipment, and document quality records in a regulated manufacturing environment.

The role requires 2–3 years of hands-on experience in plastic injection molding, with knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and GMP preferred. Medical device manufacturing exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years hands-on experience in plastic injection molding or mold setup.
• Experience with hydraulic and/or electric molding machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of mold changeovers and process parameter adjustments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and change molds, injection molding machines, and auxiliary equipment.
• Adjust process parameters, including temperature, pressure, injection speed, and cycle time.
• Perform machine startup and shutdown according to standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot molding defects, including flash, short shots, sink marks, and warpage.
• Perform routine mold maintenance, machine inspections, and minor repairs.
• Inspect molded components and maintain quality records, process documentation, and lot traceability.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues.
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, improve cycle time, and optimize molding processes.
• Follow established safety procedures and applicable quality and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in plastic injection molding or mold setup.
• Experience with hydraulic and/or electric injection molding machines.
• Knowledge of mold changeovers, machine setup, and process parameter adjustments.
• Ability to troubleshoot molding defects and maintain product quality.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Plastics Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and GMP requirements.
• RJG Master Molder I or II certification.
• Familiarity with CNC equipment, robotic automation, and auxiliary molding systems.
• Valid forklift certification.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay Scale

• Anticipated pay range: To be determined based on experience and applicable compensation guidelines.
