Job summary

Biomerics seeks an experienced Molding Process Technician to develop and optimize injection molding processes for new molds and products. You will work with Engineering, Quality, Tooling and Production to ensure stable, repeatable processes that meet quality and efficiency targets.

You will apply Scientific Injection Molding principles, conduct trials, document parameters, and support continuous improvement. On-site role with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing and optimizing injection molding processes (≤140 chars)
• Strong understanding of Scientific Injection Molding techniques and processing fundamentals (≤140 chars)
• Ability to troubleshoot molding processes and identify root causes (≤140 chars)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and mold documentation (≤140 chars)
• Collaboration with Mold Design, Tooling, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams (≤140 chars)

Responsibilities

• Develop, condition, optimize, and document molding processes for new molds/products.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Molding Process Technician to play a key role in bringing new molds and products successfully into production. This hands‑on position is responsible for developing, optimizing, and documenting stable, repeatable injection molding processes that meet quality requirements and support reliable, efficient manufacturing.

The Molding Process Technician works closely with Engineering, Quality, Tooling, and Production teams to condition new molds, troubleshoot process and tooling challenges, and establish proven processing parameters for ongoing production. This role is critical to ensuring new products launch successfully and that molding processes remain consistent, capable, and repeatable throughout the life of the product.

Responsibilities

• Develop, condition, optimize, and document injection molding processes for new molds and products.
• Establish stable, repeatable processes that meet quality requirements and support efficient production.
• Apply Scientific Injection Molding principles to develop and optimize processing parameters.
• Conduct molding trials and evaluate process performance, identifying opportunities to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency.
• Document process parameters, setup requirements, and best practices to support successful production launches and future repeatability.
• Partner with Tooling and Mold Design teams to identify mold‑related issues and recommend changes that improve part quality and process performance.
• Troubleshoot molding, tooling, and processing issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and mold documentation.
• Support continuous improvement activities within the Molding department.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other cross‑functional teams to resolve technical issues and meet production objectives.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Production personnel as needed.
• Support overall Molding department operations and, when needed, provide temporary coverage for Supervisors, Group Leaders, or Production personnel.

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience developing and optimizing injection molding processes.
• Strong understanding of Scientific Injection Molding techniques and processing fundamentals.
• Knowledge of injection molding parameters, including pressures, temperatures, speeds, profiles, cooling, and other critical process variables.
• Ability to troubleshoot molding processes and determine root causes of quality or process issues.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and mold documentation.
• Working knowledge of injection mold tooling, including shut‑offs, tool fitting, venting, polishing, and related tooling practices and terminology.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Mold Design, Tooling, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and document processes accurately.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work on‑site are required.
• RJG Decoupled Molding Training (Sys 1, Master Molder 1) preferred.
