  • Base Pay $20.35 / Hour

Description
General Summary

Responsible for maintaining production on a number of plastic injection molding machines (including auxiliary equipment). Their duties include, but are not restricted to, material handling, grinder unloading, blending material and relieving operators. They may also make labels for cartons.

Schedule Options
  • Back Half Days - Thursday & Friday 6am-6pm, Saturday 6am-12p (30 Hours)
Pay

$20.35 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understands and follows all established safety, health, quality and company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
  • Relieve operators during the shift.
  • When relieving an operator, they perform continuous quality inspection of parts produced from established quality standards.
  • Maintain work areas to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards. Empty Trash cans and Trash hopper.
  • Deliver and maintain the proper material at the machines for the mold in the machine using electric pallet jack. In other words, Wave 3-D material is being used at a machine with a Wave 3-D mold. Machines do not go down lacking material. Initials labels on material to indicate they are responsible for getting the correct material to the machines.
  • Stage material for the incoming shift using forklift.
  • Empty grinders as needed and blend the regrind with virgin material to maintain production.
  • Make boxes for production. Supply dividers where needed. Make labels for cartons, when needed.
  • Maintain the shrink wrapper. Move pallets to the shrink wrapper.
  • Move the production pallets to an area where they can be transferred to work in process.
  • Monitors the production schedule and changes material accordingly.
  • Able to remove hung up parts in the mold and restart the press.
  • Scanning of materials as completed and moved.
  • Does not make machine control adjustments.
  • Pack wave 3d robotic cell parts and palletize.
  • Wrap batteries, regrind material in bead blending.
  • Assists the Injection Molding Supervisor in all ways required.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Operates Forklift, electric pallet jack, shrink wrapper, machine loaders and gaylord sweepers.
  • Can clean out a jammed grinder.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and written
  • Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.
  • Encourages all molding associates to function as a team and models these behaviors.
Required Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-Year Manufacturing Experience
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to work daily overtime and/or weekends when needed.
