Job summary

OTTO Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Assembler for the 2nd shift to perform a range of basic manufacturing duties in a clean, air-conditioned environment. You will use light hand and power tools, read simple routes and BOMs, and help assemble easy to medium parts.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a production setting. The ideal candidate has no prior experience and can lift up to 30 lbs, with basic communication skills and color vision.

As our Assembler 2nd shift, youwill provide a variety of manufacturing duties.

The Assembler 2nd shift will:

• Able to assemble a limited variety of parts involving few details
• Required to use light bench equipment, simple hand and power tools and assembly/test fixtures
• Able to perform simple adjustments
• Capable of interpreting routers, bill of materials, and portions of blueprints to build easy to medium assemblies
• Assist with other related duties as required or assigned

About you - What you’ll bring to the table:

• No previous experience
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Basic communication skills
• Requires ability to differentiate between colors on certain jobs in this classification
• Bona Fide Occupational Qualification: Visual acuity test and color vision screening will be performed after offer/acceptance of position. Hiring is contingent upon a passing score of 20/25 (in both eyes) and passing of the color screen

What OTTO offers for this specific position:

• Hourly rate: $16.25 per hour
• Profit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that it’s fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year. OTTO’s profit sharing plan is paid at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus or any part of a compensation plan.
• Vacation: five days after 30 days of employment and 80 hours at 1 year - vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
