Job summary

TURCK Inc in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Molding Machine Operator to operate injection molding equipment and manufacture high-quality molded products for electronic and cable assembly applications. You will maintain production efficiency, monitor quality, perform machine adjustments, and follow established safety and manufacturing procedures.

You will read routers, drawings, and work instructions, set up molds, conduct in-process inspections, document production data, and communicate with team

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; basic reading, math, and problem solving.
  • Ability to read and follow written or verbal work instructions.
  • Prior injection molding or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate injection molding equipment to manufacture molded products.
  • Read routers, drawings, BOMs, and instructions to produce parts.
  • Set up molds, adjust controls, and maintain process parameters.
  • Inspect products and perform in-process inspections for quality.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with PPE policies.

Molding Machine Operator

Plymouth, MN, US

Salary Range: $40,000.00 To $45,000.00 Annually

What You Will Do

Operate injection molding equipment to manufacture high-quality molded products used in electronic and cable assembly applications. Responsible for maintaining production efficiency, ensuring product quality, performing equipment adjustments, and following established safety and manufacturing procedures within the Cordset Manufacturing department.

Read and interpret routers, part specifications, assembly drawings, redline drawings, bills of materials, and written or verbal work instructions to manufacture a variety of molded products.

Operate injection molding equipment and related production machinery to maintain workflow, achieve production targets, and ensure consistent product quality throughout the production run.

Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and perform in-process inspections to identify and address defects or process issues.

Adjust molding machine controls and process parameters as necessary to maintain product quality and production efficiency.

Communicate effectively with fellow operators, Team Leads, Production Supervisors, Engineers, and other departments to resolve production, quality, and equipment-related issues.

Gather and verify all materials and components required for production, including resins, colorants, primers, molding inserts, cable assemblies, shutoffs, and other required components.

Perform mold setup and teardown procedures according to established work instructions, ensuring proper tooling and inserts are installed for the required product configuration.

Inspect molds, tools, equipment, and finished products before, during, and after production to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.

Perform routine machine maintenance, workstation organization, cleaning, and other housekeeping activities to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Accurately complete required production, quality, and system documentation.

Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the work shift.
  • Regular use of hands and arms to operate machines, handle materials, and perform product inspections.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear in designated areas.
  • Frequent exposure to manufacturing conditions, including heat, noise, moving mechanical equipment, and process-related fumes.
  • Potential exposure to minor cuts, abrasions, burns, or bruises associated with manufacturing and equipment operation.
