Job summary

Summit Polymers in Sturgis, MI is seeking a Utility, Molding for the 3rd shift. The role assists with setup, operation, and material handling in the molding area, reporting to the Supervisor, Manufacturing (Molding).

The position is non-exempt and requires physical capability and attention to safety protocols. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to pass color vision tests, with a focus on reliability and adherence to production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass color hue and color blindness test.
• Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from limited choices.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operates, fills, empties, and identifies pre-dried hoppers, grinders and similar equipment.
• Ensure hoppers are refilled with proper material to avoid running empty.
• Maintain accurate productivity and defect information.
• Assist in operating presses including relief, set-up, color/material changes and mold changes as needed.
