Job summary

MBI in Cobalt, TN is seeking a maintenance technician to perform tooling maintenance and repair, including waxing tooling per established procedures, and to maintain the condition of deck, hull and small parts tooling.

You will read drawings and specifications, safely operate high-speed pneumatic tools, and document finished parts for production. The role requires working in a noisy environment with PPE and may involve overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications.
• Ability to document finished parts for production purposes.

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate various equipment safely and with initiative.
• Safely use high-speed pneumatic power tools (buffers, sanders, grinders).
• Read drawings and specifications to guide work.
• Complete documentation of finished parts for production.
• Maintain tool and deck/hull/parts tooling in good condition.
• Work in a fast-paced, noisy environment with required PPE.
