Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a Mold Technician to ensure proper tooling, mold bases, and process set-ups for top-quality injection molded products. You will work under supervision and collaborate with the Injection Molding team to meet production targets while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires knowledge of tooling, machine operation, and quality inspection, with a focus on reducing downtime and ensuring conformance to specifications.

Qualifications

• Basic to advanced knowledge of injection molding equipment and safety controls.
• Ability to read specs, interpret tooling requirements and maintain quality.
• Experience in manufacturing and plastics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up tooling, molds, and processes to meet production goals.
• Maintain SPH targets, record cycle times and downtime reasons.
• Troubleshoot tooling, machine, and process issues as they arise.
• Perform 5S audits and keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist with start-ups, line clearances, and changeovers.
