A medical device manufacturer in Clinton, MA is seeking a Mold Technician for a direct hire opportunity on the 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm). The role involves setting up production jobs, troubleshooting molding processes, and using the ERP system for operational tasks. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience with injection molding machines and mechanical maintenance skills, alongside knowledge of plastic resins.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience operating an Injection Molding, Extrusion, or Blow Molding machine.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or military environment.
• Knowledge of plastic resins and resin drying systems.

Responsibilities

Job description

Overview

Mold Technician role for a Medical Device manufacturer in Clinton, MA. This is a 2nd shift, direct hire opportunity (Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm).

Compensation

Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr

What Will The Mold Technician Do

• Set up, start up, and change over injection molding production jobs calling up process control settings.
• Includes setting up robotics, part pickers and vision systems
• Use proper process procedure validated data for troubleshooting product defect problems
• Evaluate molding processes to update techniques and improve quality, safety and productivity efficiencies. Ensure the injection molding processes fall within validated windows or within the established guidelines.
• Utilize ERP system (SAP) to monitor rejects, enter rejects, enter downtime codes and to generate tooling work orders
• Communicate important information to Mold Techs on next shift
• Handle reporting, enter downtime codes, and scrap codes as needed

Qualifications

• One (1) year or more experience operating an Injection Molding, Extrusion, Liquid Silicone Rubber, or Blow Molding machine
• One (1) year or more mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or military environment
• Experience performing start up and shut down of injection molding machines and resolving part defect problems
• Knowledge of plastic resins and resin drying systems
• Experience operating a crane/hoist
