Job summary

IPL Schoeller in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Mold Setup Technician to set up and remove molds, prepare molds for production, and perform mold changeovers. You will support preventive maintenance and ensure mold components run safely and efficiently.

The role requires at least 3 years of hands-on technical experience with plastic injection molds, a high school diploma or GED (Mechanical Technology preferred), and strong communication skills. OSHA safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (minimum)
• 3+ years of hands-on technical experience
• Experience with plastic injection molds is preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove molds and prepare Mold for production startup.
• Perform insert changeovers for production.
• Conduct preventive mold maintenance as per schedule.
• Inspect molds for defects and document part quality issues.
• Assist with off-line bi-annual preventive maintenance and mold services.
• Troubleshoot and repair molds during production.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe work environment at presses.
• Ensure mold components and equipment are clean, safe and functional.
• Position, secure and connect mold to molding machine and verify connections.
• Follow Lock Out/Tag Out rules and work instructions.
• Adhere to all OSHA safety procedures.
• Other related tasks as assigned.
