Mold Setup Technician - 2nd Shift (Starting $18.25-$29.00)

Join Hoffer Plastics as a Mold Setup Technician - 2nd Shift (Starting $18.25-$29.00).

Position Overview

The Mold Setup Technician is responsible for setting up molds, auxiliary equipment, and inputting process parameters to meet production requirements. The role involves maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and is divided into four skill-based classifications, with pay rates accordingly determined. Starting pay ranges from $18.25 to $29.00 per hour, plus a 4% shift premium.

Responsibilities
  1. Complete training curricula based on skill level (Levels C, B, A).
  2. Perform mold setup, color changes, and monitor production for accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Troubleshoot process, machine, and auxiliary equipment issues.
  4. Collaborate with quality inspectors to identify defects and ensure quality.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment following 5S standards.
  6. Assist in process improvements and technological updates.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Interest and ability to progress through technical training curricula.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, and climb machinery as needed.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Perform manual and foot movements related to machinery operation.
