Integrity Tennessee is seeking a hands-on Mold and Die Technician to support plastic molding operations. The role focuses on setting up, changing over, and handling molds and dies to ensure safe, efficient production with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and experience with mold setting or similar setups in manufacturing. Familiarity with plastic injection molding or extrusion is preferred, and a willingness to learn new equipment and processes is essential.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and machinery.
  • Experience in mold setting, die setting, or similar mechanical setup roles in manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience in mechanical work such as automotive mechanics, construction, or other hands-on technical trades.
  • Ability to perform tool changeovers and handle molds and dies safely.
  • Familiarity with plastic injection molding, rubber injection molding, or plastic extrusion (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Set up, install, and remove molds and dies on molding and related production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform tooling changeovers to support different production runs and product changes.
  • Handle molds and dies carefully to prevent damage and ensure proper alignment and fit during installation.
  • Assist with plastic injection molding, rubber injection molding, and plastic extrusion setups as needed.
  • Inspect molds, dies, and tool components for wear, damage, or defects and report issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime during mold and die changes.
  • Use mechanical skills and tools to adjust, secure, and troubleshoot equipment during setup and changeover.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines while working with machinery and heavy tooling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area around molding machines and tooling storage.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting ways to streamline mold and die changeover processes.
