Job summary

Westlake is seeking a production technician in Lenexa, Kansas to perform mold changes, setup, startup, and routine maintenance on injection molds. The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to documented cycles while supporting sample and production runs.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot process issues, monitor cycle times and part quality, and maintain records. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is required for this on-site role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs mold changes when available
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment
• Documents all mold repairs, mold locations, and planned repairs
• Sets up injection molds and related equipment for sample and production runs
• Starts up and cycles in mold in accordance with documented cycles and startup procedures
• Troubleshoots and corrects problem processes
• Documents and reports mold and equipment related problems
• Documents daily events in technician log
• Monitors cycle times and part quality
• Documents and records cycle information for future use assignments.
• Inspects molds to identify the cause of quality issues or defects.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Spreadsheet Software (Excel) and Electronic Mail Software (Outlook).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Valid driver license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Forklift and Overhead Crane Certifications
