Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration of Greater Houston – North is seeking a Mold Remediation Worker to provide professional remediation and cleaning services following industry standards and Texas regulations. You will assist in mold treatment of HVAC ducts, carpets, and other flooring systems while supporting water restoration efforts.

The role requires a current MRW license with the TDLR, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Registered Mold Remediation Worker (MRW) license with the TDLR in good standing.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver license in good standing.
• Basic computer skills to report daily activity.
• Experience in mold remediation and HVAC duct cleaning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Effectively perform services offered by the company (Carpet cleaning, Water restoration, Mold remediation; certifications possible).
• Complete daily work orders and related documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain appearance and stock of tools and supplies for company vehicles.
• Willing to learn and work with new equipment and technology.
• Occasionally work night or weekend shifts.

Mold Remediation Worker Job Summary

Provide professional and specialized service related to professional mold remediaiton following mold remediation protocols, industry standards and the Texas Administrative Code. Also provide professional services related to cleaning and mold treatment of HVAC ducts and systems, cleaning of carpets, tile/grout, other flooring systems, upholstery and as well as assist in water restoration services.

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Qualifications and Experience

• Registered Mold Remediation Worker (MRW) licenced by the TDLR. Current and in good standing
• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Driver License in good standing
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity. Capable of quickly learning to use company software systems.
• Technical Skills
  • Experienced in professional mold remediation
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate cleaning and restoration equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, company procedures, and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of HVAC duct cleaning with negative air, water damage restoration, carpet cleaning, and related services is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Technician Responsibilities

• Effectively perform services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Carpet Cleaning, Water Restoration, Mold Remediation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly).
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.
• Willing to work the occasional night/weekend shift

• NADCA Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS)
• IICRC Certifications: CCT, SMT, WRT, ASD, AMRT, OCT, FSRT
