Job summary

Rainbow Restoration is seeking a Mold Remediation Technician to join our on-site restoration team, covering residential and commercial properties within the assigned territory. You will perform mold remediation, containment setup, cleaning, and reconstruction support, while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Prior mold remediation and/or restoration experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Positive attitude with willingness to roll up your sleeves.
• Empathy, professionalism, and customer service skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the Restoration Industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced and emergency environments.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to pass drug test and background screening.
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and varying conditions.
• Willingness to travel statewide and work overtime/on-call.
• IICRC certifications such as WRT or AMRT are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold inspections, assessments, and remediation on residential and commercial properties.
• Develop and implement mold remediation plans per IICRC standards and company procedures.
• Set up containment areas and engineering controls for remediation projects.
• Remove, clean, and dispose of mold-contaminated materials safely.
• Utilize equipment and techniques for mold removal and cleaning.
• Perform HEPA vacuuming, antimicrobial treatments, air scrubbing, and detailed cleaning.
• Operate restoration equipment including negative air machines and dehumidifiers.
• Travel statewide to support operations and respond to emergencies.
• Cross-train in related restoration services as needed.
• Maintain safety, quality, and OSHA/PPE compliance.
• Communicate with customers about scope, timelines, and documentation.
