Job summary

I3-Assembly is seeking a Manufacturing Group Lead Mold for the 2nd shift in Binghamton, NY. The role oversees manufacturing operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies, leads teams alongside the manager, and trains less experienced workers.

Strong leadership and mold process knowledge are essential. Responsibilities include ensuring process quality, mentoring peers, and coordinating with support groups to meet customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Must have basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Typically requires 6+ years of prior manufacturing experience.
• Ability to mentor or train peers.
• Ability to communicate and support a team environment.
• Demonstrates leadership and supports company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and certify on non-complex and complex operations within current process.
• In-depth knowledge of processes within the current department and related feeding/receiving processes.
• Flexibility to cross-train and apply skills in other areas of the department.
• Achieve quality targets and drive improvements at certified processes.
• Evaluate and make recommendations on process/product issues.
• Inform management of recurring defects and variations to procedures.
• Be accountable for productivity and utilization of the individual.
• Provide direction and training to team members as requested.
• Lead formal presentations on manufacturing activity when needed.
• Ensure manufacturing line is fully supplied to produce product and order supplies.
• Track co-workers’ annual certifications and establish cross-training targets.
