Job summary

Greene, Tweed seeks a skilled operator to set up and run compression molding machines, producing rubber and fabric components that meet design specifications and quality standards. This role requires careful attention to cycle times and precise removal of parts from molds.

You will select molds, inspect surfaces, operate presses, and use hand tools and measuring devices. You will document production data, follow procedures, and uphold safety rules while contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Person status required for ITAR access.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate compression molding machines to meet quality specs and production requirements.
  • Select proper molds, inspect mold surfaces, sandblast & clean as required and position into press plates.
  • Use basic hand tools, measuring devices, electric hoist, sand blasters, knives, shears, etc.
  • Interpret job paperwork to determine schedule, assembly procedure, process requirements and quality requirements.
  • Perform computer transactions to reference online documentation and provide production feedback on time, quantity, scrap, batch control and quality information.
  • Accurately complete and forward job paperwork with stamps, quantity, date, initials, etc.
  • Verify accuracy of components issued, job paperwork, drawings, router and tool requirements.
  • Follow all safety precautions and wear protective equipment.
  • Train and mentor others in the department.
  • Able to troubleshoot and elevate issues.

Job summary:

Set- up and operates compression molding machines and support equipment to make specified components that meet quality standards, design specifications and production requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Molding of quality rubber and fabric parts using materials & fabrics inserted into a mold and placed in a heated press line. Understanding of press cycle times and meticulous removal of parts from mold required.
  • Facilitates press operations by selecting proper molds, inspecting mold surfaces, sandblasting & cleaning as required and positioning into press plates.
  • Uses basic hand tools & measure devices, electric hoist, sand blasters, knives, shears, etc.
  • Interpret job paperwork to determine schedule, assembly procedure, process requirements and quality requirements necessary to complete the task accurately and on time.
  • Perform computer transactions necessary to reference online documentation, provide production order feedback on time, quantity, scrap, batch control and quality information.
  • Accurately completes and forwards job paperwork with appropriate stamps, quantity, date, initials etc., as per work
  • Verify accuracy of components issued, job paperwork, attached drawings, router and tool requirements.
  • Follows all safety precautions and rules, including wearing protective equipment, as required.
  • Train and mentor other in the department
  • Able to troubleshoot and elevate appropriate issues
