Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a Painter responsible for applying color to molds in accordance with the company’s quality policy. You will follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area while producing consistent mold finishes.

This entry‑level role requires no minimum education or prior experience; training will be provided. You must be reliable, attentive to detail, and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment under the supervision of

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
• Ability to receive and carry out instructions given by management.
• Ability to model desired behavior and conduct for all employees.
• Must be safe minded and alert during times of operation.
• Demonstrated traits of honesty and integrity and ability to maintain confidential information.
• Must have enough near/far/depth and color perception to satisfactorily paint mold.
• Must understand written formulas for painting.

Responsibilities

• Comply with company Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Wears assigned PPE in order to safely perform all job tasks.
• Wears steel-toed boot for the duration of work shift.
• Maintains a professional and positive attitude.
• Reports any and all injuries to respective supervisor(s).
• Performs general housekeeping duties to help maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Attends company sponsored training when necessary.
• Reports to work daily and on time unless otherwise excused.
• Clean dried over pour from inside and tops of molds to prevent possible defect and stacking issues.
• Reports issues which may result in poor quality to Production Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility.
