Job description

The Mold Maker is responsible for building, revising, and maintaining Entegris and Customer-owned molds, tooling, and fixtures by performing machining and mechanical processes, methods, and techniques. With proven performance, opportunities to grow into a larger or different role exist. Additional support to the production teams and covering on-call situations may be available.

Hours for this role will be 1:30-11:30 pm, 4 days/week, or 1:30-9:30 pm, 5 days/week, with overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Building new molds along with mold inserts for existing tooling.
  2. Repairing molds to allow quick turnaround with issues as they arise within competency level.
  3. Maintaining current and appropriate documentation in mold files and completing all job-related documentation.
  4. Operating Tool Room equipment at a high level of competency (CNC Mills, CNC EDMs, and CNC Lathes).
  5. Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems related to mold cycling, mold function in the press, and miscellaneous tooling and fixtures as required.
  6. Completing miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
  7. Assembling production molds, cleaning molds following standard procedures, and reassembling as required.
  8. Completing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
  1. 2-year degree in moldmaking or completion of a qualified apprenticeship program.
  2. 3-5 years previous experience with mold making.
  3. Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  4. Ability to read and understand work instructions, perform math computations, and computer data entry.
  5. Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand during the entire shift.
  6. Ability to perform repetitive pushing and sliding of mold plates and mold inserts.
  7. Periodically, this position requires repetitive hand, wrist, and grasping of objects with fingers for extended periods of time.
  8. Ability to visually detect quality defects.
  9. Ability to work overtime and on-call schedule as required.
