The Mold Maker is responsible for building, revising, and maintaining Entegris and Customer-owned molds, tooling, and fixtures by performing machining and mechanical processes, methods, and techniques. With proven performance, opportunities to grow into a larger or different role exist. Additional support to the production teams and covering on-call situations may be available.
Hours for this role will be 1:30-11:30 pm, 4 days/week, or 1:30-9:30 pm, 5 days/week, with overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Building new molds along with mold inserts for existing tooling.
- Repairing molds to allow quick turnaround with issues as they arise within competency level.
- Maintaining current and appropriate documentation in mold files and completing all job-related documentation.
- Operating Tool Room equipment at a high level of competency (CNC Mills, CNC EDMs, and CNC Lathes).
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems related to mold cycling, mold function in the press, and miscellaneous tooling and fixtures as required.
- Completing miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
- Assembling production molds, cleaning molds following standard procedures, and reassembling as required.
- Completing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
- 2-year degree in moldmaking or completion of a qualified apprenticeship program.
- 3-5 years previous experience with mold making.
- Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, perform math computations, and computer data entry.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand during the entire shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive pushing and sliding of mold plates and mold inserts.
- Periodically, this position requires repetitive hand, wrist, and grasping of objects with fingers for extended periods of time.
- Ability to visually detect quality defects.
- Ability to work overtime and on-call schedule as required.
