Career Crunch is seeking a skilled Tool Room Machinist in Massachusetts to build, repair, and modify molds using CNC and manual equipment. You will read drawings, inspect with precision tools, and collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot tooling issues. Maintain a clean, safe workspace and perform additional tool room tasks as needed.

Candidates should be proficient with lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders, and follow strict safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret drawings and models.
• Proficient in operating CNC and manual tooling equipment.
• Capable of inspecting parts to tight tolerances using precision instruments.

Responsibilities

• Build new molds from raw materials using CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Repair and modify existing molds using CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds for repair and evaluation.
• Review and interpret drawings and models.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and other manual/CNC equipment.
• Use precision measurement tools to ensure tight tolerance machining and final fitting.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following company and industry safety standards.
• Perform other Tool Room-related duties as assigned.

• Build new molds from raw materials using CNC and manual machining equipment
• Repair and modify existing molds using using CNC and manual machining equipment
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds for repair and evaluation
• Review and interpret drawings and models
• Operate lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and other manual/CNC equipment
• Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges) to ensure tight tolerance machining and final fitting
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend improvements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following company and industry safety standards
• Perform other Tool Room-related duties as assigned
