Job summary

Gusmer Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Mold Repair Technician to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations onsite in Newton, NC.

The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plastic injection molds and production equipment, fabricating replacement components from sketches, CAD models, and blueprints. You will perform preventive maintenance, track maintenance activities, and collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime while following safety and quality

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred experience in tool manufacturing, maintenance, assembly, or repair.
Injection molding experience preferred.
CAM/CAD understanding preferred; CNC/EDM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate hand tools, machine tools and measuring devices to fabricate, maintain, and repair molds and components.
Perform mold inspections and diagnostics using precision tools to identify wear and opportunities for improvement.
Execute preventive maintenance including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, reassembly and testing of molds and equipment.
Troubleshoot tooling/equipment issues and implement solutions for mold and tooling challenges.
Conduct maintenance in compliance with safety, quality standards and OSHA regulations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, labor, and materials; use data to prioritize work and reduce costs.
