Job summary

Jobot, a leading U.S.-based manufacturer, is seeking Maintenance Technicians in Huntington Beach, CA to support production by maintaining, cleaning, and repairing 500–1600 ton molds. This on-site, permanent role offers hands-on work, occasions for overtime, and strong growth potential.

Responsibilities include optimizing machine functionality, preventative maintenance, installing machinery, and reading blueprints. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or four (4)-year certificate from a college or technical school; or ten (10) to fifteen (15) years related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight (8) to ten (10) years of preventative or corrective maintenance experience in Injection Molding, Compression Molding, Composite Molding and Roto Mold environments.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and hydraulic prints or schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups; communicate clearly in writing.
• Able to work with mathematical concepts and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Optimizes functionality of machines and equipment while performing corrective and preventative maintenance.
• Manually cleans, dismantles, replaces or repairs defective components.
• Locates malfunctions using observation and test instruments.
• Performs preventative maintenance per defined schedule.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery such as robots or PLCs.
• Operates machine shop tools to make and repair parts.
• Inspects parts for wear and misalignment.
• Performs welding fabrication.
• Reads and modifies blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting.
• Uses forklifts and hoists to move equipment.
• Maintains tools and work area; liaises with vendors as needed.
