Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician to support a busy Tooling Department in Lansdale. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining multi-cavity plastic injection molds, troubleshooting equipment, and keeping tooling in reliable condition.

You will perform preventive maintenance, disassemble and rebuild molds, read blueprints, use precision tools, and assist with mold changes. Forklift operation and basic machine tool use are required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.
• Experience with mechanical maintenance, repair, assembly or tooling preferred.
• Ability to disassemble and rebuild mechanical components.
• Comfortable reading blueprints and using measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on multi-cavity plastic injection molds.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, lubricate and rebuild molds.
• Identify worn or damaged components and assist with repairs.
• Replace springs, pins, bushings, inserts and other tooling components.
• Assist Toolmakers with mold troubleshooting, repairs and modifications.
• Prepare molds for production and support mold changes.
• Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Use basic machine tools such as lathes, mills and grinders as needed.
• Maintain an organized tool room and accurate maintenance records.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move and store molds.
• Follow safety and quality procedures and communicate tooling concerns.

Job Details

We are seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician to support a busy Tooling Department. This is a hands‑on opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working with tools, troubleshooting equipment, and keeping production tooling in reliable working condition.

Schedule & Compensation

$20–$25/hour, depending on experience

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on problem‑solving ability
• Experience with mechanical maintenance, repair, assembly or tooling preferred
• Ability to disassemble and rebuild mechanical components
• Comfortable reading blueprints and using measuring tools
• Basic machine tool experience is a plus
• Forklift experience preferred; ability to safely operate a sit‑down forklift required
• Willingness to learn injection mold maintenance and tooling processes
