Job summary

ALPLA seeks a skilled Mold Maintenance Technician in Florence, KY, to perform mold maintenance, cleaning, and preventative tasks with careful documentation. The role involves machining and repairing parts, sandblasting, sharpening tools, and reporting issues to supervision.

Responsibilities extend to inventory control of mold drawings and spare parts, ordering parts as needed, and coordinating with Production Planners to align toolroom activities with plant goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing or related experience.
• Previous experience in mold maintenance/preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mold Maintenance: Cleaning, inspecting, preventative maintenance, and documentation.
• Machining: Modifying and repairing parts as needed; sandblasting molds and Blow Pin Tips; sharpening cutting rings and stitch knives; report damaged equipment to Toolmaker/Production Manager.
• Inventory Control: Maintain accurate mold-related drawings and spare parts records; order spare parts as needed.
• Coordinate with Production Planners to align toolroom activities with production goals and maintain mold readiness.
• Liaise between plant and external mold vendors; provide required documentation; act as main contact for the technical department.
• Maintain communication with NOAM Mold Specialists on mold-related matters.

• Maintains communication between the NOAM Mold Specialists on all mold related matters

What Makes You Great

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of manufacturing or related experience
• Previous experience in mold maintenance/preparation is preferred

Qualifications/Skills:

• Mechanical ability
• Good computer skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Able to operate Forklifts
