Job description

Mold Maintenance Supervisor (San Antonio, Texas)

Description :

The individual in this role will be responsible for purchasing molds, molding process development, and mass production mold maintenance for interior and exterior automobile parts.

The individual in this role may model and create molds using 3D Computer Assisted Design. Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products and reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, and product design, materials and parts; Ensure cleanliness and maintains safe work environment within molding department; Manage the determination of root causes of failures using statistical / mathematical / engineering methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, and processing methods.

Requirements of the role :

• 5% domestic and international travel.
• Two (2) years of related mold manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineer, Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
