Job summary

Bass Cat & Yar-Craft Boats is seeking a Mold Technician to perform PM/Overhaul activities, repair and modify injection molds, and diagnose mold-related issues. The role requires following schedules, communicating with supervision, and working in a first shift.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, knowledge of preventive maintenance and overhauls, and be able to work OT in a safety-sensitive environment.

Job Purpose

Perform PM/Overhaul activities. Follow and update PM/Overhaul schedules for molds. Perform repairs and improvements to molds. Modify molds for Engineering changes and improvements. Diagnose and troubleshoot mold related problems. Keep constant communication with supervisor and team members.

Job Details

• This is a first shift position, and the hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
• All positions are safety sensitive. A safety sensitive position is any position designated in writing by an employer, in which a person performing the position while under the influence of marijuana may constitute a threat to health or safety.

Qualified candidates will be asked to submit to drug testing and pass a PFT test.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in fiberglass (dust/handling fiberglass items/etc.)
• Must be able to handle chemicals (catalyst/resin/foam)
• Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environment
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel to work on molds
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Working Conditions

• May work with all tools/equipment available at mold shop.
• Daily use of overhead cranes.
• Daily exposure to mold cleaning solutions, grease.
• Daily work in mold shop as well as in a grinding booth.
• Work environment may include but not be limited to painting and assembly departments.
• Required use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
• Use of equipment found in mold shop including but not limited to surface grinders, welding equipment, band saw, etc.
