Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Mold Machine Operator in Putnam, CT. The role involves operating and monitoring molding machines, maintaining production cycles and quality, and following safety procedures.

Candidates should read work orders and blueprints, perform precise measurements, and complete production documentation. Prior manufacturing or production experience is preferred, with on-the-job training provided to reach proficiency within months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred and ability to read work orders, blueprints, specs and production docs.
• Experience in manufacturing or production, and basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, verniers, go/no-go gauges).
• On-the-job training provided; proficiency typically achieved within 3 to 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor molding machines to maintain production cycles and product quality.
• Remove molded parts, trim excess material, deburr and complete secondary tasks.
• Inspect visually and dimensionally using precision tools to verify quality and specs.
• Package, label, count, and move finished products while maintaining records.
• Identify defects, segregate non-conforming materials, and support corrective actions.
• Operate hand tools and secondary equipment as needed to complete manufacturing processes.
