Precision Castparts is seeking an operator to perform normal duties while leading hands-on training within the department. You will certify employees and provide feedback to supervision, guiding qualification and certification of staff.

You will progress new and transfer employees through qualification, develop training modules, and maintain records. A strong focus on safety, performance, and unbiased evaluation is required.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and capable of high performance with little supervision.
• Must consistently rate in the top 20% in Project Team Build issues and have good work habits.
• No disciplinary action for Quality, Productivity or Behavior in the last 12 months.
• Willing to change department assignments and work with multiple departments as needed.
• Outstanding performance in prior progression through Training and Certification is desired.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, make progress observations, and record data accurately.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly to ensure work quality.
• Good facilitation skill to teach individuals or small groups.
• Satisfactory attendance and safety records required.
• Must have held training position for at least 12 months in the prior 3 years.

Mission

In addition to performing their normal job duties, this operator accomplishes hands‑on training in the department. This operator also oversees the qualification and certification of employees and provides feedback to supervision.

Principal Accountabilities

• Train and Certify.
• Progress new or transfer employees through the qualification and certification process. Trains employees on new skills and works with employees to improve performance to satisfactory levels or maintain satisfactory performance.
• Perform module audits.
• Evaluate employee against certification requirements.
• Gives objective, fact‑based input for performance reviews. Participate in performance measure feedback and performance review of employees.
• In performing training/certification duties, avoids favoritism or the perception of favoritism.
• Training Program Support:
• Create and revise training modules.
• Establish and revise written evaluation.
• Design and update skills demonstration and criteria for qualification and certification.
• Employee support and audits
• Maintain records of employees and overall departments.
• Perform ongoing evaluation of employees and random audits.
• Stay current on techniques in all aspects of interpreting.

Qualifications

• Current Trainer certification desired or Tat’s certified within 30 days.
• Must be self‑motivated (as determined by feedback from the Trainer Coordinator or Production Supervisor) and capable of high performance with little or no supervision.
• Must consistently rate in the top 20% in Project Team Build issues and demonstrate good work habits, including a history of quality workmanship.
• Must be free of any disciplinary action for Quality, Productivity or Behavior over the last 12 months.
• Position required incumbent be willing, as required by production needs, to change department assignments, work with others in more than one department, and to adjust shift schedules.
• Outstanding performance as determined by feedback from the Trainer Coordinator or Production Supervisor)in prior progression through the Training and Certification Program is desired. (Does not apply to trainers who did not have access to the program.)
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions, make progress observations, and accurately record technical data required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Instructions must be clear and unambiguous; consistently assures directions are clearly understood resulting in work that rarely, if ever, needs to be redone due to the quality of communication.
• Must have good facilitation skill and the ability to teach individuals and/or small groups.
• Satisfactory attendance record required.
• Satisfactory safety record required.
• Must have held position to train for a minimum of 12 months during the prior 3 years.
