Job summary

LeoForce in the United States is seeking a Mold Design Engineer with mid-level experience to design molds for blow molding and to review designs. You will interact with quality and purchasing to ensure quality standards and on-time delivery, while maintaining currency with advanced technical training.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 3+ years of equivalent design work, plus strong skills in SolidWorks and 3DX.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Details

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Designs molds and performs basic design reviews of molds for blow molding.
• Interact with quality department and purchasing department, ensuring quality standards and delivery deadlines are met.
• Maintains currency with respect to technical skills by attending training classes and special technical courses as needed.
• Provide daily update to Mold Design Engineering Working Lead.
• Ensure customer requirements are clearly understood, drive closure on open requirements, and verify requirements are satisfied.
• Identify risks, document, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate.
• Establish timing plans to execute assigned orders and projects.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven record for solving complex technical issues in a structured manner.
• Solid performance with Solid Works and 3DX.
• Relevant experience with mechanical analysis and tolerance/fit analysis.
• Ability to identify technical risks, develop
• Strong communicator able to provide detailed information in a concise manner and be able to tailor communications to different audiences.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience working in multiple design phases (Development, Production, Sustaining).
• Ability to use the following tools:
• o Microsoft Teams
• o Microsoft Power Point

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline or +3 years of equivalent design work experience.
