Park Nicollet is hiring a Mohs Technician

Join our team as a Partner for Good and make a difference in patient care and experience daily.

Position Summary:

A Mohs Technician processes and prepares tissue samples for Mohs micrographic surgery, used in skin cancer treatment. Responsibilities include freezing, cutting tissue specimens, staining slides, and ensuring accurate tissue margin identification. Precision, technical skill, and organization are essential for success.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday

Required Qualifications:
  • Eligible for the Histotechnician exam through ASCP or
  • Bachelor's degree with NAACLS-accredited Histotechnician program completion and passing the ASCP HT exam
  • Certified Histotechnician (HT) certification through ASCP
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Attention to detail and precision in tissue processing
  • Problem-solving in technical issues
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in biology, chemistry, or related field with coursework and ASCP HTL certification
  • Two years of Mohs technician experience
  • Certified Histotechnologist (HTL) through ASCP
Additional Skills:
  • Understanding of Mohs surgical process
  • Experience with immunohistochemistry and advanced staining
  • Proficiency with cryostats for frozen sections
