Job summary

Dermatology of Cape Cod is seeking a Mohs Medical Assistant/Surgical Technician in North Falmouth, MA. You will support Mohs surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments, educating patients, and assisting with procedures in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in medical assisting or surgical tech, EMR proficiency, and sterile technique. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, with pay ranging from $30 to $35 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical assistant or surgical technician; dermatology experience preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Expertise in the use of surgical instruments and maintaining sterile environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and develop care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and families.
• Prepare the surgical area by organizing instruments, equipment, and anesthesia.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures and maintain a sterile operative field.
• Ensure the surgical environment remains clean and compliant with protocols.
• Document all aspects of patient care in the EMR.
• Maintain records of follow-up communications and post-operative instructions.
• Monitor patient safety during procedures and recovery.
