Job summary

Tareen Dermatology is seeking a Grossing and Mohs Technician to support our Roseville Histology Laboratory and regional Mohs locations. This role performs gross examination, tissue processing, and preparation of Mohs frozen sections for immediate intraoperative evaluation, collaborating closely with Mohs surgeons and histology staff.

Candidates should have a science-based bachelor’s degree and relevant laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science-related field required.
• 60 semester hours of college credits with science courses (Chemistry 6h, Biology 6h, 12 additional hours).
• Previous medical dermatology and laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize laboratory workflow for timely specimen processing.
• Review policies and procedures and communicate updates.
• Participate in CLIA survey readiness and quality assurance activities.
• Perform gross examination, dissection, and sampling of dermatologic specimens.
• Prepare Mohs frozen sections for immediate examination during surgery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA guidelines.
