Job description

We are currently seeking candidates with exceptional customer service and clinical skills to join our team as a Mohs Medical Assistant. You will be working with a team of professionals for a well-known, highly regarded dermatology practice that puts our patients above all else.

Duties to include:
  1. Assist in surgical procedures, including Mohs surgery and surgical excisions
  2. Assist physician in providing quality care to surgery patients
  3. Maintain patient medical records
  4. Review patient medical history
  5. Obtain appropriate consents
  6. Call in prescriptions
  7. Perform patient call backs
  8. Assist with scheduling surgeries and administrative tasks
Other duties may include:
  1. Screening patients and employees daily upon entry
  2. Checking patients in and out
  3. Rooming patients and keeping social distancing guidelines
  4. Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  5. Sanitizing and cleaning respective areas as needed
Requirements include:
  1. CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT PREFERRED
  2. Surgical or Mohs Experience PREFERRED
  3. Current CPR certification
  4. Knowledge of vital signs
  5. Working knowledge of dermatologic surgery and sterile technique
  6. Must be a team player and dedicated to patient care
  7. Must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment
