The Role: Mohs Histotechnologist

The Opportunity

The Opportunity: This team genuinely takes pride in providing the best patient care, utilizing the most advanced, precise and effective treatment for skin cancer. It is people first, both patient and employee!

The Work

Working closely with our Mohs surgeon you will;

  • Provide high quality routine Hematoxylin and Eosin, immunohistochemically stained slides to Mohs surgeon for routine or complex margin assessment.
  • Embed and section processed tissue sections to produce slides. Section frozen tissue to produce slides during surgical procedures.
  • Order, receive, access, and track specimens in the department's information system(s).
  • Maintain immediate work area and equipment used for embedding and sectioning specimens.
  • Maintain processing equipment, stainers and solutions used in processes.
You Have
  • Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnician (HT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) preferred upon hire or required within 2 years of hire.
  • Proficient Computer Skills, Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Organization, Attention to Detail, Professionalism, Team player!
