Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Module / Thin Films Engineer to support the development and manufacturing of 300mm silicon wafers for automotive and consumer applications worldwide. You will collaborate with integration, process, and equipment teams to deliver robust, high-quality products.

The role focuses on CVD/PVD processes, data-driven problem solving, and cost/yield improvements. You will participate in experiments, SPC analysis, and cross-functional project work to meet production and development

Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering or related technical field.
2 years in semiconductor processing or similar.
Knowledge of CVD and PVD processes (AMAT, LAM).
Experience in cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
Experience with FMEA is a plus.
Intermediate data analysis skills in Excel or JMP; ability to create pivots and charts.
Strong MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint.
Fluency in English (written & spoken).

Responsibilities

Own CVD and PVD processes and equipment health in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.
Apply technical skills to implement equipment and process improvements for yield, cost, and throughput.
Design and document experiments to improve yield and throughput.
Resolve time-sensitive technical problems to maintain schedules.
Make data-driven decisions using SPC techniques.
Provide daily support for process and product lot disposition in furnace areas.
Contribute to understanding and resolution of equipment-level shifts in tool performance.
Develop sustaining responsibilities and cost/yield improvements within 6–12 months.
