Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Process Engineer to join our advanced technology fab in Phoenix, AZ. You will design and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes with data-driven analytics.

Ideal candidates hold at least a Bachelor's in engineering and have hands-on experience in wafer fabrication, SPC, and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires night shifts and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Physics, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments, interpret results, and optimize manufacturing processes using data-driven insights.
• Apply statistical process control to sustain robust processes.
• Qualify and sustain manufacturing processes to expand capacity with speed and quality.
• Collaborate with equipment and material suppliers to identify gaps and implement improvements.
• Drive continuous improvements in process stability, quality, yield, productivity and safety.

As a Process Engineer, you will focus on delivering a robust and efficient semiconductor manufacturing process with data driven analytics and systematic problem-solving skills.

Job Description

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Designing and executing experiments, interpreting, and extracting insightful results from complex data sets to optimize the manufacturing process and achieve precision control at atomic levels.
• Applying statistical process control methods to establish and sustain a robust manufacturing process.
• Qualifying and sustaining manufacturing process to expand capacity with speed and quality.
• Collaborating effectively with equipment and material suppliers and partners to identify technology gaps and deficiencies; devise, evaluate and qualify mitigation and continuous improvement solutions.
• Driving continuous improvements on process stability and capability, quality, reliability, yield, productivity, and safety.
• Scheduled night shifts, weekend on-duty, and on-call in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment are required for business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

• Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related fields.
• Academic skills of numerical analysis, statistics, optics, chemistry, or physics.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process and design would be a strong add.
• At least 1 year experience in semiconductor industry as Process Engineer is a strong add.
• Flexibility to change priorities and responsibilities to support business needs
• Willing to work in a clean room environment.
• Polished presentation and interpersonal skills.
